Uni ski trip did Val Thorens for under £450 last year for busses there and back, "accommodation", ski pass and rental. That being said I am expecting Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall to make a documentary about how immoral it is conning students into rooms smaller than they are and Booze Britain to make one about the 40 hour bus journey there, the one back was significantly more sombre.

My brother went on one of those Uni trips last year and was flown home at my mum's insistence after the bus crashed into a wall on the way there.
To be fair he's going back in January so it can't have been that bad!

As long as you weren't in your room or on the bus it was tremendous, if I were to go again I'd certainly see if there are any skiing trips that specialise in sending wealthy, single women to the alps on group trips in nice hotels and whatnot and read various guides on the seduction of older women.

Uni ski trip. Week in Tignes for £389.
They do go by coach though....
I'm considering just try to find a last minute deal for that week next year, to be honest - the laddiness of uni trips isn't for me. And it's that cheap last week in Jan.
