Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Big Up Jennewein St Anton (boots)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've been searching for ages for somewhere around here stocking the Technica Cochise 120 boots, without any luck. Called up Jennewein today as they were sorting the stock (not really open yet, just setting up for the season), had a chat with Geoffrey, then headed over to try a few boots on. With the insoles from my last boots the 27's fitted great out the box (too much heel lift in the BD Factors).

As well as great service (spent nearly two hours trying on various sizes and comparing), got 20% discount without even asking (they will also be doing this on opening day), they replaced the (lost) afd on my barons for free, and also replaced a (broken) buckle on my gf's boot for free. Highly recommended if you need boots and are in the area.

Suppose I'll have to go to the glacier on Sunday to try them out!

Hi clarky999,
Jennewein always was the best ski shop in Stanton

now the question is: will they sell Scarpa Maestrale RS and Dynafit Vulcans?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

horizon, Not sure, looked like they only starting unpacking the boots today. Give them a call or email, pretty helpful. The Vulcan takes a ridiculous amount of faff to get on though - no matter how well it might ski, I couldn't deal with that on a daily basis.

Sportler in Innsbruck sells both though, FWIW.

skimastaaah, yeah was just about to pm you about that actually Laughing

But yeah, my boots needed replacing (probably last season tbh!). For now, I'm going to have to pass on the monoski (can't afford the DIN soles for the boots yet!). I do get a double salary this month though, so still not entirely out of the question at that point - unless you sell it first obv.

Certainly was in 1986! ... and in these days you could reclaim the VAT (after getting the receipt stamped at the border) when you got back to the UK.

One more vote for Jennewein. Jurgen, at the Nasserein store, really knows his stuff. I have bought maybe 5 or 6 pairs of skis from him.

I always thought the Nasserein store was a bit of a nightmare, really disorganized. Galzig one was great though.

Timmaah, and I always thought that Galzig was too busy by far. But I love the shop on the other side of the round-a-bout........... apart from being too hot to look around in ski kit.

BUT, Jennewein .............. best ski service in St Anton by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

*shhhhhhhhhhhhh* ........ that's why I go to Strolz in Lech!!! wink
