Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

swishtony, all this stuff is going to be quite bulky - you may have to start rocking the super-baggy look. Remember to wear a belt. Laughing

I use some Dianese shorts for racing on the dry slope. They have "soft" and "hard" varieties (or at least they did when I bought them). I find them quite good because they're not too bulky. Only downside is that they make you look like you're wearing cut off fishnet tights!

Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for that link carbon.... have you worn these, they look ideal. Just ordered a pair for £50 so will report back when I get them. Cheapest price by a mile, some places selling same item for nearly double that!

evski - I looked at the Dainese soft ones but the padding on the hip looked a bit sparse. Edge and Wax have a pair in stock and I spoke to them today, from what she was telling me the protection is mainly on the thighs and less on the hips.

Yes, you're probably right if you want maximum hip protection. I still get the odd graze between the pads when I fall. They do make quite a difference though.

Thanks for the tip carbon_copy, the 661 Evo Bomber Shorts arrived today, they feel great and look to have just the right amount of protection. Seem to have zero restriction on movement as well which is great. Good shout, many thanks!

carbon_copy - washing these...... no instructions in them so..... do you just wash normally, most of the padded garments I have seen you can remove the padding for washing but as you know, not with these! Thanks.
