Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

You guys spending £20 or so on lottery tickets would get much better returns chucking it at a snowHeads subscription! We're always trying to negotiate deals and bonuses and perks for the supermegas and as we get bigger, people are getting more and more interested. There have been a couple of 'very nearlys' recently that would make it very worthwhile to be a super/mega when they crop up Wink

Also... thanks for the thanks guys Smile

It takes quite a lot of time and effort to blag a haul like the list above, get it all organised etc. It's also quite a task to get the booty all sent out too! (Ever tried wrapping a chalet for 13?) But as it goes out in 2nd half of December, I do get to feel a bit Chritmassy about it Wink

Of course, some prizes take less effort than others. Ironically, the prizes that were easiest to procure were the star prizes since Austrian Adventure's Flangesax, Kneissl's Swiss Tim and Edge and Wax's scottydog are already big fans and avid supporters of snowHeads!
Actually, that's a point: all 3 of them give pretty decent discounts to super/mega-snowHeads too!

Well if I win that green Avalung pack (which would match my helmet nicely), I'll donate my current one - amazingly still in 'as new' (other than a bit of dirt) condition despite being used almost daily since 2008!

Minimum_2 had great fun with his camera prize last year, and we are looking forward to using FraserP's sledge this winter. Admin does well for SH's and I find the subscription is well worth it for the advice and the offline company and on the whole for the online company and laughs. This place doesn't run itself on fresh air, so I contribute as do many others and am happy to do so. Very Happy snowHead SH's rocks!!

You could even combine the two and get Minimum_2 to video the sledging! Laughing

Do you have a suitable nearby slope for sledging? Ideally one with a bit of a run-out, when we do get decent snow in the UK you sometimes hear sad news of kids (or even supposedly intelligent adults) injuring themselves or worse by sledging in unsuitable places with trees or even roads at the bottom of the run. Evil or Very Mad

I suppose we could start a helmet thread for sledging... wink
