Has anyone skied this international ski area? How are the offpiste possibilities?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Even though it's just few kilometers from me, I have been skiing there only few times. Off piste is probably best of all places in 150-200km radius, as long as there's not huge avalanche alert. Normally they get huge amount of snow, and I mean huge like 5 or 6m, when other places just 10km away get 1m max. But lifts are not greatest and most modern ones, which means you might make few runs less in a day, that you would somewhere else. And there's not really many tracks to choose from (for on course), so this is reason, why I'm not there all that often.... not to mention they canceled my free ticket last year which means I'm most likely not going to be there at all, since for money they sell ticket, I will rather go somewhere else

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Disclaimer: I've got an apartment in Bovec and so am biased as. Trying to be impartial though.
There are very few pistes, so if there are bad conditions the impact is much worse than in larger resorts. That said, there is loads of off-piste, you need to have pretty big balls for some of it though. Would definitely recommend getting a guide.
I liked it so much I bout a place there so I could keep going back. Last April we went skiing in the morning and whitewater rafting in the afternoon, it's a cool place. That said, I wouldn't want to stay for two weeks

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

you bought an apartment in a place you wouldn't want to spend more than one week at - very strange!

More a summer sports area than a winter one (imho). I'd go there for a few days in winter, but could happily spend the entire summer there. River's a bit chilly though. Odd seeing both skiers and MTBers congregating to go up the mountain at the same time.

I was trying to be objective! I love it there! Let's try again...
The ski area is quite small, so you'd be hard pushed to get two decent weeks out of it. There are a couple of other areas nearby, Nassfeld is the biggest, but it takes over an hour to get there, so from a Skiing perspective, I wouldn't recommend a two week stay.
