Just remember there are two sides to Geneva airport french side and swiss(international) make sure you know which one you are hiring from there can be quite a difference price wise and convenience wise too.

Gazbo19, if you're flying from outside France, e.g. UK, you fly into the International (Swiss) side.

All the Swiss hire cars will have snow tyres and the Swiss motorway vignette. They usually have chains but (contrary to what you sometimes read here) not always. You should always check, and if there aren't any, get some. Then, if it's likely to be snowy, practice putting them on before you leave the comparatively warm and dry car park. Snow tyres make a big difference but the police can, and do, stop people without chains if resort access roads are difficult. It's actually much easier to drive out of the Swiss side of the airport onto the motorway towards France than from it is from the French side - counter-intuitive, but true.
