Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yeah,

They're a scottish company, based in edinburgh, and do daily flights between glasgow/edinburgh -> stansted as well. I've used them a couple of times.. Reasonably priced budget airline (free tea/coffee though!). Normally seems fairly quiet and i've never had any problems with them... They actually allocate you a seat as well!

As John M says, they are a Scottish Company. I have used them many times and they are good. They fly to quite a lot of places from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

And with a name as pretentious as 'Globespan' I guess they need to!

My main problem at the moment seems to be globespam.

Work colleague has just got back from 2 weeks in Canada with flights via Globespa; Manchester to Toronto, and back from Vancouver via Calgary. They booked hotes through Globespan and saved about £2500 over independant booking. Other friends took a family of 5 to Toronto and back from Glasgow. Flights and service all fine (apart from the one caught in the Manchester Airport security alert). Flights to Toronto from several UK & Irish airports and to Vancouver & Calgary from Glasgow, Gatwick, and Manchester.

They are a reasonably long established Scottish tour operator which branched firstly into charter flights in the summer season to Canada and more recently low cost flights from Glasgow/Edinburgh to various Med destinations (the likes of Easyjet etc dont do that from Scotland so we get to transit thru Luton if we want to do that.) We have flown summer flights (Palma or Barcelona) with no problem.

Last year in Palma they got very excited about baggage weight, so anticipate paying extra if you breach the allowance.....which presumably is how they make their money

Alastair, no experience, but looking at their site and adding up the cost of flights, it apears that they have soon leanrt the art of hiding away the surchages.

A £68 return flight to Geneva soon becomes £108 with taxes etc. You can book BA etc for very little more AND get full luggage allowances. Globespan limit you to 20kg including cabin luggage. Skis && Boards are an extra £15.

It seems to me that these airlines who describe themselves as "no frills" (as do Globespan) really just want an excuse to milk the punter as far as possible without owning up to it! Shocked
