Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone have experience of Bardonecchia??

Having considered a few other resorts for this season's ski trip we have booked Bardonecchia (seemed to fit our criteria - short transfer, ski in / out, budget, plenty of blues to build confidence & reds to move onto, etc..). So I've scoured the net looking for any info I can find, including every reference on here!! A common theme I've found though is that the blues can be quite severe?? If anyone on here has experience of this resort, & can point us towards the easier of the blues to start our week on, would be very grateful! Had my confidence shattered a little last year after going down what should have been a nice blue, only to find half way down that the blue side was closed off, leaving a really steep & icy route as the only option, & with 2 kids with us we ended up walking for an hour down to the lift after 2 of us fell quite badly while attempting to ski down Sad We have skied easy reds quite happily in the past, but would like to start off on the gentle stuff with no nasty surprises this time before working back up to some reds! We'll also be looking to take a morning's private lesson at the beginning of the week, so can anyone recommend which ski school?? (presuming there's more than one!)

Any knowledge on this, or bars, mountain restaurants, TO excursions (going with Crystal), tips etc for getting the most of the resort gratefully received! Smile
