We are all sometimes far too quick to complain about bad service, but very rarely praise the good. On that note, just wanted to say a big thank-you to Tim at Snowshepherd (www.snowshepherd.co.uk). I ordered some goods the other month (piste marker signs) and through no fault of Tim's, they were lost in the post. I live in Jersey and Royal Mail sometimes loses stuff. Anyway, this was replaced immediately, without hassle and without any extra charge. Now I don't know if Tim is insured for lost in post items, however I fully appreciated the service and the manner in which he handled this. I will most certainly be ordering again.

Good to hear. Having come across the signs on here I ordered one for my BiL for Christmas. From ordering to receipt took a week which I think is excellent given they make them to order.

jmheaney, Thanks for the mention, much appreciated. Praise should also go to the guys who make the Piste Signs for me, they are an incredible little operation

Another thumbs up for Snowshepherd customer service - have pre-ordered an excellent new Ortovox airbag, great price and Snowheads reduction on top of that. I emailed with a couple of queries, and each one was answered promptly with practically an essay!
It's not due for delivery for another month or so so I can't comment on delivery speed.
There aren't many businesses that combine internet speed and prices with in-depth, interested knowledge of the kit and (I'm led to believe from the experience of others) good after-sales. Really good.

I have also had good service from Snowshepherd. livetoski, took the time to give me lots of advice and practical feedback as I made my choices and subsequently provided top class products suitable for my needs. I might be back for someone's Chrissy pressie this year too!

Likewise. I've bought avi gear and a few bits and bobs from Snowshepherd and the service has been quick, friendly and generous.
I tend to place faith in a company where the boss (who appears to also be the sole employee??) obviously lives up to his sH's name and is out "living the product" as much as he can each season. I feel Snowshepherd is in tune with its customers' needs, wants and demands and views its business from well off-piste rather than from the boardroom.
Ditto Whitedot.

May have posted about this before but I bought a Snowpulse airbag from Snowshepherd a few years ago. As the new season came round I checked it and saw that the cylinder was empty so sent it off to get refilled. They came back saying there was a problem with the cylinder and that it would be replaced under warranty. Only problem was that there were none available in the UK at the time. I was about to head off to Chamonix for an avalanche safety training course, so Tim arranged for a stockist in Chamonix to have a cylinder available for me - they really went th extra mile on that one and it was much appreciated

Had a look today, is there a large snowHeads discount?
There does appear to be a high price for the perceived 'good' service.

I ordered avalanche gear and it arrived without probe and shovel, I told tim and he sent the rest the next day.
I don't know why the original stuff wasn't in the box but he sorted it really quickly.

Great service! Orderderd some Venitex gloves again, but this time one was far to wide for me. Could send them back with no trouble. As being Dutch my wife sent them back the cheapest way by boat. After a few weeks they still did not arrive at snowsheperd again. After letting Tim know that I was was worried for my new to send gloves to be not in time for our hollidays he immediately sent another pair by airmail. So without having received the old ones again. Received the new pair today. Perfect fit! And still more than a week to go for driving to Menuires. They are already baking in my oven right now.
Perfect service. Thanks!

Same experience here - needed a few bits, didn't know much about anything, got some good advice from Tim and a good deal on various stuff and a product I had tried and liked but wasn't available from other suppliers. A good business we should all try to support where we can, because they are clearly working hard to get it right for a very reasonable price.
