codyaitch, Both out of the country racing on the Master's circuit I think!
Problem with Sochi is actually knowing who is going to race - the injuries list is growing by the minute! Currently Puchner out of tomorrow's race for Austria, Tina Weireiter only 50:50 due to a bone bruise collected in the DH training, Gagnon with a dislocated shoulder, etc, etc. these race courses are fairly brutal.

Looks like Felix Neureuther will not start in the GS on Wednesday. He tried to train today but gave up. He was involved in a car accident on his way to Munich Airport last week and has fractured ribs, whiplash and numerous bruises. Apparently he had to be helped into and out of his racesuit and jacket this morning - so not looking too good for the GS which is a pity as he had to be one of the favourites for some kind of medal! Currently the news I'm hearing both via his Farcebook page and the news here (remember he is a local lad for us here in Oberbayern) does not sound too optimistic for the slalom on Saturday either!

Have managed to improve my score a bit to 43.65 thanks to an OK Mens SC, 5 from 10 with 2 exact and a bonus, 38.25 and 61st place

Just picking up on German news that Maria Höfl-Riesch is unlikely to race tomorrow as she has a bad cold. she wants to rest so she can conceentrate on the Slalom at the end of the week.
They are starting to drop like flies!
Start of tomorrow's GS has been bought forward to 06.30 CET (instead of 08.00) and the second run is now scheduled to begin at 10.00 CET.

Post Olympic update
Samerberg Sue - 45.55 - 7th in Ger - 209th overall
WayneC - 47.85 - 5th in GB - 120th overall
davkt - 43.65 - 1st in Arg - 283rd overall
andy - 51.80 - 1st in Ger - 28st overall
Dr Che - 47.70 - 6th in GB -130th overall
codyaitch - 48.75 - 3rd in GB - 97th overall
Fattes13 - 43.65 - 3rd in Ire - 283rd overall
kooky - 47.45 - 6th in Aus - 136th overall
briand6868 - 37.75 - 4th in Ire - 518th overall
We generally need race scores in the 40s to increase individual average scores - during the 10 races in the Olympics we had just 1 score in the 50s and 5 scores in the 40s so apart from kooky, with an increase of 4.60, score movements were minimal.
Team scores are wrong again
Hopefuls team score is shown as 51.768 and 4th - it is supposed to be the average of the scores above that I reckon is just 46.017 !

Yep I've had several 37s in the olympics and 37 is exactly the highest score not to improve my overal score!

I was away the week before the Olympics started so had to guess all my selections and didn't get time to update them but still managed a couple of decent results...4 in the lower 30's but none enough to raise my position in gb ... I'll try a bit harder for the rest of the season...

Plenty of surprise entries in the top 10s again this weekend - the best score we could manage between us was 37 points by Dr Che and 3 of us hit our lowest scores of the season - so no changes in overall scores - just a few minor changes in overall positions

Yep, a lowest score for me, 280 overall, still leading Argentina comfortably and would be 15 in the UK if I was in the right country!

davkt, codyaitch, Some errors in my scores so there could be other ones. I've sent off an email asking for the scores to be checked again. I've been given only 1exact per race today, whereas I had 2 in one and 3 in the other.

Mine was deservedly rubbish! Dropped 3 who made the top 10, haven't checked the start list yet but looks like I also picked a load who didn't start or crashed out.

Decent result today, 7 with one exact for 40.5 and 72nd place, scoring screwy again though as that is my 4th best overall but no change in my stats.

hmmmm.
got some scores better than Sochi, with a 7 +2 exact today, one of my best scores (but not top 5), and I plunge from 29th to 56th
only a few races to go. would be nice to finish in top 100, and still #1 in Germany.

andy, davkt, I've more or less given up trying to understand the scoring! I've an idea that things are skewed towards the US punters playing as they have lots of goodies and prizes that those of us outside of the country never get a look at.
My scores have not been corrected from the other week, nor have I had any respose to my email pointing out the errors.

Samerberg Sue - 45.55 - 8th in Ger - 234th overall
WayneC - 48.60 - 5th in GB - 133rd overall
davkt - 44.35 - 1st in Arg - 276th overall
andy - 51.80 - 1st in Ger - 56th overall

codyaitch - 48.75 - 4th in GB - 127th overall

kooky - 47.45 - 6th in Aus - 164th overall

A few minor changes but a general fall in the overall position for most of us.
Hopefuls position finally corrected to 46.183 and 13th

davkt, codyaitch, We have a few people suffering from end of season fatigue and therefore not posting any picks. A couple have made none since January and others have had a few races where they either forgot or could not get to a terminal to get their picks in.
Just this week to survive and the season is over.

If I don't bother, it's mainly cos there are so many races to pick for.
Generally prefer the kind where you pick a team up front and have limited opportunity to change it (eg earning money to "buy" skiers). Not sure how that would work with so many injuries, several being season-ending. Worked pretty well for an F1 fantasy game (out league won one year, but all the prizes were for teams so we won none).
Maybe do that podium picking one.

Unfortunately 5 of the others either DNF or out of top 10. Still pleased with the 1,2,3, and Anna Fenninger picking up the Overall Crystal Globe...

WayneC, have you checked the site yet? I got in this afternoon and managed to change a couple of picks for the remaining races but noticed that the site was definitely flaky. All the Trending stuff was for the Men's GS even for the Ladies! I'm well pisssed off that it was down over the past 2 days t least and I was unable to change selections. I lost 4 racers due to injury, illness simply not there for whatever reason although they were qualified to race (Top 25 plus the Junior champs in each discipline).

Hi Samerberg Sue, yes - was able to get in last night and the night before and make final selections, plus this afternoon's results are up now.
Haven't made final choice for w/e yet though!
I'm still quite pleased with 5th place in GB considering all the bad picks during Sochi...
I'll try harder next year..

nice. even managed to improve score on the very last race, even if it was only by 0.1
by my deduction, and assuming individual scores are reliable, you can state that all of those above final scores are out of 1646 players (excluding shed loads who scored a big fat 0).

Same here, good improvement in my score from the mens race. Comfortable win in Argentina leading from almost the start of the season unlike last year where I was second all season until the last race! Should really be 13th in GB, the only time I'll ever beat Dougie Crawford!
