Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Doing Basi Level 2 there, does anyone know of anywhere out there for cheap accomdation or got a spare room and willing to let me stay for some money.
everything is so expensive and spent the majority of money on course and train.

You get what it says on the tin. Small and cheap relative to other places in Zermatt.

It is also right next to a school which has a bell that goes off at an unGodly hour.

Hotel Weisshorn is pretty good value for money. Breakfasts are excellent. It's just behind the Town Hall and there is the Church Bell nearby.

I agree with JimboS, Le Petit Hotel is super. Good breakfast, great location. Not uber budget, but not bad for Zermatt.

I seem to remember the Zermatt youth hostel being quite reasonable when we stayed there a couple of years ago. It's a little bit of a walk from the centre of town but nothing too bad.

Check out Tasch just down the valley if you are really tight for cash. I believe the lift pass covers the 10 minute journey up, and the trains are pretty frequent and run late (ish)

Matterhorn golf hotel in Jan around £36 a night including breakfast. Trip advisor gives it a good rating for what its worth.
