Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fischer RX8 or something else?

I'm 6ft about 80kgs and sometimes a bit more with a backpack on.
I used to have a pair of 170cm Head Monsters (72 underfoot)
then also had a pair of 182cm twin tip Gladiators 92mm underfoot.

Reason I bought the Glads was to do more off piste but I found I just wasn't using them off piste enough and I enjoy making short sharp turns, something I couldn't do with either but did on a pair of Fischers once...can't remember the model.

Am going to be skiing a lot in the Sierra Nevada in Spain this year so it's almost all entirely ON PISTE with only a few days of powder...

So, am wondering whether it might be good to buy a pair of RX8s (cheaper from previous seasons I imagine). Are these any good and what sort of length? 170cm again?
I figured if I go off piste, I could just rent wider as I'd be with a guide anyway. Not to mentione the fact that none of the guides use wide skis off piste anyway. Thinner skis just seem easier.

Any other options? prob out of some of these? RC4 maybe: http://www.sport-conrad.com/race_ski_packages_br_bindings_incl_/26/
maybe a Salomon Enduro LX 750

GordonFreeman, I had some rc4 race sc at the same time that a mate had some rx8, both 165cm and we used to swap them sometimes. Rc4 race sc was a little stiffer, and the tail gave a bit more kick out of turns, but very little difference really, used them both on the +15mm setting on the railflex rail. The superrace will be current version i think
