Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The other issue I have is that I don't know which model I have, but my boots fit so snugly that if I buy the wrong ones they won't fit anymore... Maybe SMALLZOOKEEPER can help? I bought them in your shop same time I got my boots!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I have a couple of pairs of Wigwam Ultimax Light which are very snug fitting for even the tightest boot volume, and the X-Socks Carving Ultralight sound as if they are also suitable.

If you can't order what you want online from Technical Sports Socks get in touch with them as they are very happy to place a special order for you.

beanie1, I recently had the same problem. I ordered from http://adventureshop.co.uk or call them on 01291 675439.

They told me that on Thorlos socks the range/size reference is stitched/printed on the side of the instep, ie mine say XSKI-11 which is the ref for Level 1 Thermolite eXtreme overcalf medium in UK mens size 8.0-9.5

They had a sale on when I ordered mid September.

rob@rar.org.uk, Do you think it would be a bit risky to use these 'Carving Ultralight' socks off-piste? Toofy Grin Laughing snowHead

Bernard Condon, I agree. I think it's very important to match the technical characteristics of your socks to the type of skiing you are doing. It does mean, of course, that you have to carry three or four pairs each time you ski (and changing socks by the side of the piste can be a little embarrasing), but what's the point of technology if you can't use it to help your skiing?!
