Hi guys
We usually leave it late doors before booking up somewhere at Xmas (risky i know!), but usually get away with it as we end up going to smaller Italian resorts. However, this year I quite fancy trying Tignes out; we'd drive out and get there probably 26th Dec, and leave on 4th/5th Jan.
Does anyone have any good accommodation recommendations? More specifically, does anyone know those that are more flexible re. dates (i.e. not set to saturday to saturday specifically), and sometimes have late availability?
Lots of questions I know - basically any decent recommendations (me and the wife; 3/4 star i guess) would be great. Full board preferable.

Tricky at that time of year especially as the days of Xmas and NY are tour op friendly this year (ie sat-sat hols are going to be de rigeur). Late booking at one of the hotels may be fraught depending on how the season goes. However, you could try Jill at the Alpaka - all things are negotiable! www.alpaka.com

chocksaway, I'm bringing my hounds to Tignes in January. I shall be sure to pop into the Alpaka with them. I wonder if I can get them in a Tignes taxi? Don't think I could drive back to Brev after a night in the Alpaka ...

zammo, I'm sure the French taxi firms will not object - Yves (Yves taxis predictably) is often propping up the left hand end of the bar at the Alpaka and would be a good chap to start with.
