Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Italy Feb 2013-11 people

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello

I have been given the task (!) of organising a weeks ski holiday for 7 adults (intermediate to advanced) plus 4 children (aged 9 to 12) from Feb 9th 2013, ideally from Bristol Airport

A work colleague recommend Bardonecchia in Italy as he thought it was cheaper but I'm struggling to find much for our size group either catered or SC (latter preferred).

If anyone has some places to stay they could recommend I would be grateful. If not I was going to look at France and Ownersdirect

Many thanks

Michael

Yoghurt, welcome to snowheads.

The Val Gardena has plenty of buildings that house several apartments if you don't mind being being split up.

The official website lists most of the apts

But I agree that large houses catering for 11 are hard to find in Italy

I have tried to find chalets of the type you find in Austria and France, without any luck.

I think Cbowls30's suggestion will be the best, but you will have to book more than 1 apartment at the Planibel, or alternatively, try and book out the entire Chalet Alpina, which is very reasonably priced.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

When I was looking for a place for a group in Val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites, this was about the biggest I could find, 4 bedrooms, sleeps 10:

The price page hasn't been updated for 2 years, so maybe it's not operating.

This was a similar size but not a great location between Ortisei And S. Cristina:

The ones near the lifts in Selva are all smaller units and work out more expensive as you would need two, but this one is in a great spot and very well-appointed:

Yoghurt, I don't know of anything specific but when I looked for a chalet/holiday home in Austria for a group in the past, some of the portal sites like http://www.chaletfinder.co.uk/ and http://www.homeaway.co.uk/ (which also cover Italy) were quite useful. There are numerous others out there too (like ownersdirect, chaletsdirect etc) which a google search will show up. Good luck.
