Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone know when it's possible to book trains for early 2013 on DBB/ OeBB? It's only possible to book until current timetable expires on 08.12.12....want to make sure I get the cheap seats as soon as it's possible to book for February and not sure when the booking window opens?

Usually 3 months though just tried today to book a train to Tirol from North West Germany in December and could not do as they are changing timetables and prices.

The timetable always changes in early December, so can never book beyond that point until (I thought) some date in September/October. I don't know the exact date though. DB/OeBB help page doesn't really help, so probably best to contact the customer services?

As Andy said, tickets cannot be booked for trips beyond the date of the timetable change, which happens early Dec. Nothing new... that has been the situation for as long as I remember.

andy, this year the changeover date to the winter timetable is probably around 9th December. It is always a Sunday as I remember.
