Poster: A snowHead

We've booked to go to Kuhtai at the end of January and looking at the piste map it seems like it's pretty much all intermediate reds. Does anyone know whether they are easy or hard reds? Just wondering because we will be taking our 8 yr old who only just started to ski [very] easy reds last winter and hoping they won't be too difficult for him. Hope there isn't too much ice when we go....
Looks like the Brits have 'found' Kuhtai now that Crystal have a couple of hotels there.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Inghams also I believe. Unless your very unlucky with ice and wind then the reds are not crazy at all, mainly wide open. If you google bergfex they have a piste map that also shows you some of the runs on video, could give you a better idea.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I went to kuhtai about 15 years ago, the piste map doesn't appear to have changed very much.
A good little resoty to learn in, all runs are within the capabilities of a 2nd week skier. I enjoyed it . I can't see your son having a problem. for more experianced skiers it can be a little limited I suspect. Be aware it's high for an ausrian resort, the altitude is noticeable.
I went with Inghams and stayed at the Elizabeth (the year it opened i think (when it was an independant hotel),
good sized rooms and facilities.

Ps, your lift pass also covers hochoetz (spellcheck?) which is very nearby, a bus (free) goes every half hourish. It too is small but essentially doubles the terrain for you. Not sure how high it is though so can't comment on likely conditions in January though it does have snowmaking provision.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
