Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi All,
About 4 years Back you could hire skis in the UK and collect at the airport, this saved us loads of money and time in resort. We used Edge to Edge, from the look of the website it doesn't look like they are doing this anymore, anyone know of anyone else??

Thanks Very Happy

snowbum1971, why would you want to hire skis in the UK, then pay the extra ski carriage charges vs hiring in resort?? I'd understand if you were driving and the hire was cheaper in the UK..............

snowbum1971, Edge 2 Edge went bust which might tell you something about the business model.

I dunno, if the gear was cheap enough I would think about it and I suppose it depends on the gear. Any run of the mill gear it's not worth it but if it was higher end stuff then maybe people would take it?

We hired 5 pairs of decent skis, only needed 2 extra bags to get them on the flights to the US, saved about £100 pp! Hire for decent skis in the US and Canada are expensive, I've bought skis this year in the Snow & Rock sale but the other 4 need skis to hire NehNeh
