Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Action outdoors will do the transport for you too, not sure if UCPA.co.uk do?

Still wasn't particularly expensive through A-O anyway.

either way, with free Avios flights to Geneva, the whole deal with transfers, half-board and everything else makes it a very attractive proposition

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

More likely to be put in a room with other English speakers if you book with AO?

"there are French people in France??? WTF?" Wink

I have to admit that this is quite a nice thing esp. if one is going Jack Jones. Though, it would do wonders for my very poor French to be in a roomful of french speakers.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Ah come on, my French extends to about 10 school girl phrases so I wouldn't have had a very social time if people hadn't spoken English with me!

I might book with UCPA then.. I'm really not bothered about being put in with French or English speakers, but I like speaking French when I'm on holiday. It feels more like a holiday Smile

eversolazy,

I have stayed in both VDI and Tignes UCPAs.

I would recommend both to you. Both resorts have completely different feels to them. Tignes is modern, high, and you could say ugly. VDI is a pricey village with plenty of vulgar posho twonks.

I prefer the feel of Val Claret to VDI. I have been going to VDI because the off-piste/freeriding level is supposed to be higher. I have skied Espace Killy loads and loads, and I just prefer Tignes. I know lots of people who far prefer VDI.

The VDI UCPA is often full of Swedes, who tend to be very polite, friendly, and welcoming. The VDI UCPA has a nice bar area.

Both are very close to the slopes and Bars.

You will have a great time in either. Enjoy.

Thanks JayDub, that's good to know.

We've opted for Val d'Isere, as we've all stayed in Tignes before, so thought it would be good to try a new town. Hopefully we'll run into more polite Swedes than vulgar twonks!
