Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New Years Advice

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

Never done new years on slopes before and wondered if anyone has an idea of cheapest prices (inc lift passes and HB or CC) to a decent resort for around 4 boarders.
I know its going to be more expensive than our normal week but interested to see if there's any money saving experts out there!

Cheers,

a decent resort

Think you'd need to be a bit more specific to get decent feedback.............. France/ Austria, on/off piste, trees/ high up, apres requirements............... also how are you getting theres, self drive/ flights/ train..............self catering/ chalet etc/ potential budget?...............whats your criteria?

solstice21, My advice would be choose and area, say Avoriaz/ Morzine and hit the internet you'll find loads of options re accomodation, flights EJ from STN to GVA and book a transfer. Also suggest you consider Les Arcs via train to Bourg St Maurice from St Pancras (I think, cant remember, could be Waterloo), direct lift access from train station in BSM. Book independently rather than with a TO, much cheaper IME. Plenty of food options in most resorts, pizzas/ pasta etc and whilst New Year is a very busy and traditionally expensive time of year its possible to do it cheaper with planning and leg-work/ research. Good luck.
