Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wondering if my old skis would be any use for my wife?

I've just purchased some nice new skis to play on next winter so I now have a pair of Fischer Red Heats that I will either sell (to part fund new skis for my wife) or maybe they would be good for her? The Fischers are 160 long, my wife is 5' 3" (weight is a well guarded secret, but I reckon 60-65kg). I guess my concern is would the Fischers be too stiff and too long. She is an intermediate skier, not overly aggressive, prefers piste but wants something with a little more float than her Rossi 150's. Thoughts appreciated.

You will get 0 points for chopping the back of your knackered skis and fobbing them off on your wife. Much better get a couple of quid for your old skis (or dump them) and buy some blingy new skis for her indoors and be back in the love nest. You knew this already. wink

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah, give the little ol' lady the castoffs.

That'll do.

Come back with your new opinion when you suggest to her she uses your cast offs instead of you buying her a new pair of her own Laughing

Bought a pair of Atomic Blackeye Ti's . I was wanting somethng that I could use over more terrain, but with a reality check that I have two young kids, any off piste will be limited so not much point buying anything 85mm plus.

Have you thought about Scott Lunas ?

Good deal here (and good retailer). I don't the the SH diascount will work though as they are on sale. They also look really cool.

ac505,
I'd chop a wee bit off the back before handing them on, alternatively you can get some well used rental skis that may be soft enough at a reasonable price.

Could do with some new skies around here, nice blue ones instead of these grey cloudy ones.
