Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Igluski....anyone used them? Thoughts please

I have recently been looking at a couple of TO packages and thought I'd try Igluski. Seemed okay on the face of it but got a little more difficult when it came tgo booking in that prices initially verbally given suddenly became unavailable, calls not returned then next day price changed etc etc. Be interested on others experiences as to whether I should pursue a holiday with Igluski.

Igluski are not a TO as far as I am aware. They are an online travel agent promoting TO deals from a variety of operators.

They claim to be an "independent travel based agency"

Iglu.com is an internet based travel agency specialising in the sale of ski and snowboarding, Lapland and cruise holidays.

Iglu is an independent company, not financially connected with any tour operator. This enables us to source holidays for customers from a fully independent viewpoint rather than offer in-house products as many high street travel agents do. For example, in ski, we work with over 130 UK ski tour operators, representing over 90% of the UK ski package holiday market - this enables us to select the most appropriate and best value holiday for you the customer.

I did use them ages ago (over 10 years I think), and they were OK. I tried them again recently, gave some requirements, but they never came back to me.

I have used them a couple of times when organising Lads ski trips. They have been helpful and efficient. I would use them again.

Used them last year and again this year for the lads trips. No problems and easy payment system.

jirac18, If you've already identified the holiday, have you tried the TO direct? Sometimes they offer an online discount which just so happens to be about the same as the agency commission.

As Bode Swiller suggests, always try the TO direct. I had one trip where the TO was offering a 2 for 1 lift pass deal, but this offer wasn't available if booking via iglu. I have booked via iglu on other occasions as they've had the best deal.

Used them in January and found them to be decent.
As others have said though, they don't tend to be any cheaper than the actual TO (in our case SkiOlympic) and I'd go direct if and where possible.

Use their ski site a lot for browsing as their search engine is great in that you don't have to specify dates or countries like on inghams, crystal etc. As others have said they just list lots of other companies deals and book on your behalf, normally adding a bit to make their money. This is why you can't transact online and have to ring up to check if price and availbilty is still correct. Usually a good idea to Google search the property you're interested in and chances are you will get same deal cheaper by working out who they're booking through.

Have to say I recommend iglu as I've booked on their cruise site and had no issues. They'll also do a lot of searching, narrowing down and recommend holidays for you if you give them a call or email with what you're after.

Tried twice. Failed twice for the reasons you've listed. Won't bother again.
