Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The OP made a mistake in what they bought. We all do that sometimes, it's how internet shopping plays out. Just accept that, get your refund and go and buy elsewhere if you must.

That's not really how internet shopping plays out as far as the law is concerned. The Distance Selling Regulations were designed to prevent that being true, or at least to deal with those companies that want all the benefit of selling through the internet without the responsibility of dealing with the downside. It is also designed to prevent customers losing out because they have chosen to deal with an internet company vs a shop on the high street.

For everyone on this thread, it may only be £7, but the reality is that the company legally owes this person money. £7 may be nothing to you, but what about if it was £50? Personally if I am buying things, I like to deal with companies that don't shirk their legal responsibility, and are grown up enough to accept that sometimes there is such a thing as a bad customer, and that those customers will cost you money. The best way to approach this is to refund with a smile, and if you really can't cope with it, just don't accept orders from them in future. A supplier I dealt with a few months ago decided that they couldn't meet my expectations on service or price, and as a result declined to quote - that's no problem, I know where I stand, they know where they stand, they don't want to sell to me any more.

I've never dealt with the company in question, but if they will go to this length amending websites and Ts & Cs after the event just to avoid paying out £7 to a customer who is being a bit petty, I don't want to find out that I am a customer they don't like much either if I have a similar problem.

rob@rar, or he got his £7 back with an apology and decided not to leave it plastered all over the internet...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I doubt its the latter, if it was a genuine mistake about customer service the £7 wouldn't be enough to take away the sour taste.

I've had a refund from places but still remained pretty annoyed with them.
