Poster: A snowHead
|
I'm putting together a portfolio of old skiing pictures for a project - a book on changing styles in skiing,
I would be interested in original images of skiing, ski resorts and apres ski from the last century that snowheads may have, particularly from before the 1980s, but basically from 1900 to 1990.
I am especially interested in pictures that show the changing fashions and equipment, especially from the 60s, and especially in colour.
Ideally I'm looking for high quality images that would be suitable for reproduction.
I would gratefully accept any images snowheads may have to contribute.
I am doing this for fun rather than money, so I'm afraid I can't offer payment for images, unless they are truly exceptional.
All images reproduced would be properly attributed to the owner / photographer.
Please send me a PM if you have anything you thing might be suitable and I can share an email to send a scan in the first instance.
Many thanks, I'm hoping some of you have some amazing pictures out there!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

lewis, take a look at the facebook group photos for the Val D'Isere 80s/90s reunion - there are some real clangers in some of the old photos that have been uploaded. I guess if you want to use one, you should message the person who posted them.

I think it is an open group, but if not, let me know and I'll invite you.

Love the Salomon rear entries. Just shows if you market it well you can sell any old crap!

i remember with fondness getting up and just slipping in so easy with rear entries. Its now a lot of getting the tongue out, lot of hard work and sweating trying to get in, even if it is a high volume boot ! .
