Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

On the way back from Thyon to Siviez, after 10 years of service the pocket rockets finally gave up the ghost and now reside in the Cave aka ski graveyard

Skied very delicately on the way back.

Nickski, Wouldn't worry a dreadful ski anyway. Although it's always sad to see a skis demise.

under a new name, ha ha. At first I read that as dreadful skier. They were good in thier time but their time probably ended 8 years ago. I borrowed my other half's on piste blasters for the last 6 days and rediscovered the joys of . . . on piste blasting.

spyderjon, yep, bindingsare still in situ. I may re-use, much better than Rossi bindings.

flangesax, Just my opinion. I didn't like them at all, actually, I haven't enjoyed any salomons since the original 'Xcream.

Which was rather fun in a forgiving of a hangover fashion.

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

I skied other halves x-wing tornados or something like that after the PRs finally gave up. Brutal piste bashers. Like a lot of things skies went from one extreme to another then settled down, e.g. super soft, super fat then back to a happier medium. I had a pair of the old x-screams. Hard to believe they led the way as the new skis, with Rossi bandits, after the snowboard explosion.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Nickski, Sympathy, may they rest off piste. I fear for the day my pockets give up the ghost but after 8 hard seasons (about 90days this past season and they were ex rentals when I got 'em) they still serve me well. They may be a bit floppy, a bit small around the waist, lack much reverse rocker but they keep me coming back for more. Where I ski it's generally tree skiing where having the ability to turn quick in powder is pretty useful, the pockets respond. They can carve quite nicely on piste as well, give it some speed and they start to flop and slap and almost take off over the hard stuff, love it. I've tried and purchased other off piste skis in recent years but they just gather dust as the pockets keep calling. Is the Salomon gun 1080 the modern pocket?

Seems like a good excuse for some pocket porn...

Just showing a tip - ooh
