My old Salomon Equipe bag is falling apart. Not really surprising since it's about 20 years old. What I liked about it were the boot compartments at either end so I didn't have to take a separate boot bag.
Looking around, I don't see much out there to compare with it. It looks like the Salomon Tanker 130 is the only one that comes close. The Salomon Container 100 says that it has a "waterproof compartment for wet clothes or boots" but does anyone know if this is big enough for ski boots?
Any other recommendations for luggage that can take ski-boots as well as all my clothes?

Seconded - although get it in an odd colour/pattern, or come up with a way of identifying it quickly - Black Dakine boardbags are 10 a penny on the outsize luggage carousel.

Ideally, I'd want something that isn't that sort of shape, as I'll use it for other trips where a more normal shape would be better. It would also need to fit in the boot.

The shortest skis I own are 184's - most of these only seem to cater for tiny little things.

I've got 183s I suspect they would fit at an angle. If you're taking more than one pair, tho, it might be an issue.

I bought a big North Face holdall and put my boots at either end then my clothes and helmet in the middle and i can get it all under 20kg and the bag is bomb proof. It's pricey and doesnt have wheels but its dead easy to wear as a backpack so handy for getting around

Have sent them an email asking if any plans to make a longer one, you never know! I'd certainly be looking for one if they did.
Will post their reply once received.
Myself and OH take 3 sets skis between us, and 2 sets bindings and 2 sets of poles and av gear, be great to get all that in the same bag, and just take an additional DAkine split roller just need to understand a bit more re weight issue when checking sports luggage in on flights (mainly Lufthansa) with 3 sets of skis in same bag, maybe not allowed? Any thoughts anyone?

I got a Salomon bag 12 to 18 months ago, looks just like this bag but mine is half-red and half black. Not too heavy when empty and easy to carry. Grab handles at both ends are useful and the shoulder strap extends to long enough to get out of the way of the main opening. Each end of the bag has a waterproof (water resistant?) compartment, the barrier is flexible so the main and end compartments share the volume.

Markymark29, I have/had the same problem with 191cm skis and a bag that fell apart after many years use! Managed to find a few years old bag online that just fitted

Markymark29, kitenski, snap - I've got a lovely roller bag to take a set of skis and enough room for boots and enough luggage for a week, it was brand new. I used it once when I did the EoSB some years back with my 158cm Wave Magics. Then some nice person gave me a set of 168cm Magfires and they don't fit At the moment the bag (one train journey to the alps and back) and the Wavemagics (about 3 very lightly used weeks on the snow) gather dust - in back of an upstairs wardrobe. Maybe one day Minimum_1 might grow into the skis (will she want them?) and maybe use the bag on a few trips.

I'm flying BA next time out so I have had to buy an additional hold baggage allowance for the skis. I was hoping to get a new bag that is big enough to put the boots in with them. I didn't want to lose half of my suitcase to them - I've got very big boots to go with my long skis!
I did see a North Face bag a while ago that looked as if it would be big enough but it was a bit pricey.

I've got a Dakine Fall-line double which comes in 190cm, that might fit 191s in. I have used it to carry 3 pairs of skis and another time with 2 pairs and my OH's boots. My boots are too big to fit unfortunately, but we can go away with one ski bag and a holdall with my boots in hand luggage.

under a new name, methinks that musher is referring to a bag bag, not a ski bag if you see what I mean I have a K2 one with a compartment at either end which I use when forced to travel cattle with the ludicrous weight allowance (ludicrous because fat barstewards are not charged extra for their seats). Not a roller so doesn't weigh too much in itself. As musher says, you don't seem to see this type much these days for some reason.

feef, kitenski, Came back to me and said 180cm is only one they do and have no plans to do any longer.
That's that then - great looking product but too short for Freeride skis, major expanding area of our sport. I'd see an opportunity there........any Dragons out there?!

Mollerski, what ridiculous bags! If I were going to steal luggage, which isn't uncommon at all, there's no way I'd pass up a bag made by Ducati. Anyone would have to be a complete fool to buy one of those, as well as pay the prices that go with them!
I can't understand why ski bags are all so short, if anyone has the money a ski bag company specialising in high quality freeride ski bags would make a killing, there's just not enough selection out there.
Does anyone know of any bags that can hold 3 pairs of skis up to 190cm? Needs to be durable as possible, boots are a plus but definitely not a requirement. I can't find one anywhere, and I've searched a ton, hopefully some others here have experience with this problem?

I seriously looked at the douchebag when I needed something at short notice for the EoSB (BIL omitted to bring my coffin down to London as instructed), but the nearest in stock were in Pompey...
Ended up with a board bag which, whilst very nice and spacious, was too short for anything other than my Ladys at 169. My main coffin the some giant NF thing - with 1 pair of skis, boots, and enough clothing to open a charity shop (oh, and Christmas presents for 2), it was still woefully empty. Think it's the Base Camp model, but I wouldn't swear to it. Worth a punt, lengthwise, anyway!

Mollerski,
I used to have a Ducati but I wouldn't carry skis on it?
With all the boll*x rules & regulations airlines are bringing in you need to consider all of the possible options when looking at number of bags, weights etc. and there is going to be an increasing market for bags that carry multiple sets of skis, boots…

I have a Dakine concourse that holds at least 3 pair of skis and your boots and more kit.
But these days, due to tighter weight restrictions, I've gone back to a shoulder carry bag and quiver killers. I still take a couple of pairs unmounted, and put the bindings in my cabin bag.

under a new name, travelling long haul, most airlines inc BA now only let you check in one bag. so you need to get your skis & clothes in there with boots as hand luggage.
