Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi.

I'm probably being dim, but I can't find any flights for 2013 from Newcastle or Manchester to Innsbruck? Am I looking too early and the flights haven't been released yet?

Thanks in advance,
Roy.

Easyjet fly to Innsbruck from Liverpool, then get yourself an apartment/hotel independently.

You can book those flights on line now.

Too early dude. Will be released summer time. TUI always have flights from Newcastle to Innsbruck (not cheap though)

Hadn't considered Liverpool - bit of a trek from Sunderland though, but I fly our family of 4 for just over £600 including bags. Will the price of the TUI flights from Newcastle or Manchester be in the same ballpark?

Cheers,
Roy.

crudeFool, the TUI flight from Edinburgh to Innsbruck is normally around £270-285 and similar price from Newcastle from memory. Think Thomas Cook fly to Innsbruck from Manchester as do Lufthansa (possibly ?)

crudeFool, Fly Lufthansa from Manchester to Munich (FOC ski carriage and luggage), its cheaper and much more time options, then catch DBB train to Innsbruck, its a great service and cheap trains too if booked well in advance direct with the DBB webiste (not on sale yet but believe me they are cheap). I dont bother with TUI/ Monarch/ Jet2/ EJ/ Ryanair who are OTT with ski carriage costs, scheduled Luthansa/ Swiss are cheaper and better service IMO.

I was looking for flights from LGW to Innsbruck for New Year, nothing was showing on the internet, but when I phoned Thomson, there were flights to book.

Out of Manchester, Thomson (TUI) have in previous winters put two charter flights on Saturdays, am and pm. Thos Cook usually have a very early Saturday am to Innsbruck. Austrian Airlines (Austrian Arrows) have put on Saturday am charters to Innsbruck, for Inghams I think, but not every winter. If you have the nerve, usually cheapest fares (£80-125) to be had 7/14 days before departure. One year I booked a charter to Innsbruck (Jan departure) in Sept for £79!
Beware, low baggage allowances and ski charges on charters.
As Markymark29, says Lufthansa from Manchester to Munich is comfortable and affordable, I paid £100 return last Jan, including skis/boots and inflight snack and drink. Swissair also have reasonable fares to Manchester from Zurich, convenient for western Austria.
The budget airlines, Easyjet and Jet2 have Alpine flights.
Checkout Kayak and Skyscanner websites, if you don't already.
