Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Long Group Weekend in Morzine Late Jan

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, I'm supposed to be organising our annual guys ski weekend next year.
We are of the firm opinion that Austria offers best VFM and apres ski. However, we are travlling from Bristol and next year Easyjet are only flying Fridays and Sundays to Innsbruck/ Salzburg. Not long enough for a ski weekend. Unless we grit our teeth and endure a journey to Gatwick, we are resigned to travelling to Geneva. Having already done Chamonix, Verbier and Courmayuer, I reckon that Morzine is the next best bet for a 3 nighter.
Can anyone recommend a good value hotel that takes weekend bookings? Or come up with an alternative, lively destination within 90 minutes of Geneva?

Thanks.

EdYarker, I have never stayed here but they come highly recommended (and snowHead too). I have bookmarked for the girls weekend that I organise for some point in the future

Agree with marmotte16, about Paul and Nina! The problem I see is that will any chalet owner want to waste a part week in Morzine late Jan! You may have to book the entire week! I know that up the hill in Avoriaz they wont do partial week bookings! But good luck and enjoy the PdS!

Depending on how many you are, you may get spare places in a chalet for a few days - I've done that in Morzine a few times. The Chalets Direct site might help nearer the time. If there are >6 of you, this might not work.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
