Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yeah, I saw that the other day. I hope they can be competative on price with Easyjet cos they already do Grenoble from Liverpool.

Never mind Northern based.. I live in Cambs and flew from Manchester in March as it was the only airport that had flights for the week I wanted. I could have flown from Gatwick, but the package flying from Manchester was so much cheaper for the same week that it paid for the petrol to drive there, and a night in Bewleys before the 7am flight.

Just priced up 5th Jan out of interest - £116 return, plus baggage fees of course.

We're 20 minutes from Manchester so never flown from anywhere else for skiing - Mosha Marc, how does this compare to Liverpool??

Hmm. Ski bags £25 each way if booked on line. The 737 I flew in to Tromso was elderly but appeared to be in good nick, and the airmanship when we were in adverse conditions seemed first class. I'll keep them in mind for next season - especially if I go to LDA for easiski lessons.

achilles, look out for ski carriage offers - when I booked with Jet2 to Chambery from Manchester they were doing a "free ski carriage if booked before 31st October" deal.

Have done sun flights with Jet2 last year, and found them to be fine - very efficient at the airport, good service on board, drinks cost on a par with most other charter or no-frills airlines.

I'd certainly consider them for ski flights on the basis of my previous experience with them, in the event we don't book a package next time.

I flew easyjet Liverpool to Grenoble on 10th March this year for £75 inc standard 20kg luggage.

Just be wary about the day/time its landing, we landed about 9am along with two other flights and there was two people manning passport control for all three flights Shocked

Been through Grenoble several times so know the chaos that ensues on a Saturday....! Jet2 look like they're also doing Sunday so I guess that would solve that problem!

Jet2 from Leeds has turned out way cheaper the usual Easyjet from Birmingham for our Easter trip to Les 2 Alpes.

Thanks for this alert - which prompted me to check Jet2 for a Tignes trip in March. (We normally use easyjet but I'm a bit p**** off at their recent 'Ski boots cannot be carried as hand luggage' statement.)

Can someone advise on how much Jet 2 charges for a ski bag? No luck finding it on their website.... Puzzled

£25 each way, max weight 20kg. Though if you book this month and are going before mid march the code FREESKI should get you one ski bag per booking free (total pain for me this offer runs for all but the last 3 weeks of the ski season!) Jet2 is 10Kg in hand luggage and I haven't spotted anything saying no ski boots.

mountainaddict, Don't forget Monarch do Leeds to Grenoble 4 times a week (with discounts for SCGM memebers). Mid week prices are reasonable - just booked a return for £85 no bags
