Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Easter skiing in Val Cenis

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Thought I'd post a video showing ski conditions over Easter in Val Cenis, snow was a bit thin lower down in the villages, but they managed to keep most runs into the villages open, just, but not all. It is a lovely place to ski, 5 areas (Le Haut, Lanslevillard, Les Champs, Lanslebourg and Termignon) all covered by the local ski pass, and lots of cruisey slopes so you can take in the fabulous views, nothing too taxing.
We were based in Lanslebourg and it was very quiet on a night, just a couple of bars, and a few hotels, one of which wouldn't serve us as we were not their guests!
Prices were pretty reasonable, pizza about 9 euro, one restaurant did 3 course meals ranging in price from 18 to 30 euro depending on what main meal you picked.
We are already planning a return trip next Easter.

Good film.
A nice area and very good value. You can take the bus to try other resorts in the valley.

Try Lanslevillard next time - more villagey and perhaps more central for the best skiing (except Termignon, of course, which has good tree skiing for good skiers and an amazing, 40º canyon/couloir going the whole height of the resort, which normally doesn't have enough snow but we skied after a freak storm blew snow into it in January). The Hotel Etoile de Neige is good value if you aren't looking for luxury - there aren't any luxury hotels. It has good food, and a pool table in the downstairs bar area.
