Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kneissl Skis

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has bought any of the new Kneissl skis. Looking for recommendations - not sure whether to get maybe SL or a cross ski. Need something to work towards my L3 instructor exam.

Any ideas??

Cheers,
EJ

Ej_12, welcome to snowHeads snowHead

Last December there were a bunch of snowHeads at the annual Pre Season Bash in Tignes. Amongst a number of equipment suppliers that come along to enable people to trial out new gear was Kneissl.

One of the people who did trial their skis was Flowa, just completing her L1. It may well be worth dropping her a PM (Private Message) to ask your question.

Some of the others that trialled their skis (not me I'm afraid) may well catch this thread and I'm sure will be along with their views.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I tried them but I'm rubbish Very Happy

I think Steve Angus may be sponsored by them, a PM to him may help too.

Ej_12, Admin and myself have tried quite a lot of the Kneissl range, certainly the Whitestar and the Silverstar range are in my humble view the bees knees when it comes to racing
skis. Admin has a pair of SL's and they hold an edge really well in the most difficult of conditions. I ran out of talent on the Whitestar GS model in Tignes (Pre Season Bash), but thoroughly enjoyed the ride and may be adding a pair to my quiver.

I believe you can get a discount on them through BASI as well.
