Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well I hate to rain on anyone's parade (or piste! no pun intended given last season's early washout) but the Farmer's Almanac says the following:

The winter season will be about two degrees warmer than normal, on average, with above-normal precipitation, especially in the west. The coldest periods will be in early and mid-December, mid-January, and mid-February. Snowfall will be well below normal.

April and May will be warmer and wetter than normal, with sunny periods in mid-April, early to mid-May, and late May.

June through August will be one to two degrees above normal, on average, with below-normal rainfall. The hottest periods will be in early and late July, and early August.

September and October will be cooler than normal, with near-normal precipitation. Inland snowfall will be well above normal, with heavy snow in mid-October.

Well as the Farmer's Almanac last year said nothing about January monsoons, a bluebird february, winter arriving in Spring, then a blazing summer from closing day, I'm not entirely sure I'm going to take any notice of it! wink

stuarth, true enough! Very Happy I don't think anything can be as bad as last January but if it is then we'll be doing a lot of sightseeing and maybe some shopping (could be the other way round of course!)
