Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Sybelles Report

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, returned yesterday ( Saturday 17th March ) from a weeks skiing in Les Sybelles.
We stayed in St Sorlin D'Arves, however we managed to ski to all resorts in the area

We skiid down to St Colomban Des Villards at 1100M on Wednesday, all runs were open, crisp in morning but getting slushy by midday.
We also skiid down to Bottieres as well at 1300M similar conditions, however the drag lift out of Bottierres is getting patchy.

On Friday the temperature in St John D'Arves on the Le Chal lift was reading 17 degrees C at 1130 am!!

On one day we saw 20C in St Sorlin in mid resort.

The pistieres are doing a great job keeping the slopes open and despite blazing sunshine all week, only 4 runs accross the whole area were closed when we left on Saturday.

As long as temp drops next week which it is supposed to, then skiing will still be okay, but they do need a dump of snow really.

A great sunny week skiing and still got a burned face with factor 30 on

How did you get on with getting about? Les Sybelles claims 310km of pistes but they're well spread out. St Colomban in particular is right out on a limb.

We didn't have such memorable weather in Feb:

altis,

Took about 2 hours from St Sorlin to get to St Colomban, mixture of slow cruising and blasting ( well going fast for my level!!!! )
