Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Pyrenees

Ok so not strictly skiing related, but it is mountain related!!

I'm driving down to my Moms in Spain at Easter, and will be passing through the Pyrenees.

Does anyone have any suggestions of scenic routes to take?

And also the potential likelihood that such routes may be snowy/icey (during day!).

Any advice greatly welcome! Very Happy

davejsy,
Drove the other way from Spain to France in September 2010. Drove up and over the Col d'Aubisques (Sp?) and through a couple of ski areas whose names escape me. Beautiful scenery, very dramatic. Naturally there was no snow in September and I can't help with snow depths.

From the French side the reverse route would start at Lourdes along the D821 and then the D918 over the Col and then the D934 crossing the border at El Portalet.

Depends which bit of Spain you're going to - if down towards the south coast, then Carcassonne - Quillan - Axat - Mont Louis - Puigcerda is scenic then either via Manressa or Ripoll down to Barca.
The small road that goes from South of Perpignan up the valley past Certet and Arles to Camprodon is quieter and just as scenic

Michelle, I don't think I can amend the title? I agree though, it could have been more descriptive. . . .
