Poster: A snowHead

Anyone have any recommendations for a bottle belt? Would like to ditch my backpack for spring but would still like to carry some water. I think neoprene is the way to go but suggestions appreciated. God I love buying unnecessary gear!!

I think I might keep an eye on this thread. Saw someone skiing with one a couple of weeks ago during the warm spell and though "what a brilliant idea"....

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Water bottle belt.......Maybe there would be an attachment for your mobile phone as well? And maybe it comes with a medalion??
don't do it, it's not worth selling your self respect for a drop of H2o, just shove the bottle (refilled at the tap of course) in your pocket!

Are you pleased to see me or is that just a water bottle in your pocket...
Personally (and of course everyone's different), but I can't stand having anything larger than a mobile phone in a pocket. Which, owing to my dislike of skiing with a backpack, means I travel rather light on the slopes.

An alternative to something that carries a bottle must surely be to carry a couple of those collapsable drinks in little foil packs that deflate as they are consumed in your pockets.
Or look, I've just done a google search for something like this and you can get a refillable system too http://casanovasadventures.com/catalog/water/p314.htm
When you read further the holder on that one slides onto an existing belt or maybe even a backpack strap and it has a neoprene cover to protect it from freezing.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

They've got a Nike one reduced in TKMax atm, £10. Looks OK, insulated.
