Bikeandsnow, you seem to be confusing a very tiny amount of complete idiots with "everyone else". Your comment suggests that queuing up for days on end is required in order to obtain an Apple product. It isn't.

Mine turned up (with a bit of effort!) Friday, no queuing required. Just ordered it online.
It is quite nice, but since I've never owned any Apple products and been sucked in, I've found I'm not a big iOS fan. I think Android is much better - even the older version on my phone and other tablet. Already i can see having no SD slot will be a bad thing.
The screen is excellent, and since I do do a lot of reading (and don't like having to cart a big book collection around) this is a really good thing. iTunes u is really good. I can also get BBC iPlayer at last

Safari feels rather dated, and I cannot work out how to move the cursor to within a word rather than the start or end which is rather irritating

stuarth, assuming it hasn't changed on the new iPad just hold the cursor on the word in question and a magnifier will pop up letting you put the cursor wherever you like.

If reports are to be believed, Magical Device v3 has a neat new trick up its sleeve by heating up to 116 degrees under load, which according to Apple is 'within thermic parameters'. Yep, you're holding it wrong... ie not using an oven glove.
