Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Very Happy . After many years skiing Les Arcs, we've been forced into venturing a bit further...well, just over the valley to Les Coches. We're in Ancolies Chalet with SnowChateaux, and would like to know more about the place so..
Any experience of this chalet?
Can you pinpoint it on a map for me?
What are the most convenient ski hire places? We'll probably use Rental Republic but do want to check out the alternatives.

Only four weeks to wait now, really looking forward to it!

Sorry not stayed in that chalet - we stayed in chalets Wengen, which is possibly on the other side of the resort - far right.
there were ample hire shops, three close to the chair lift near us, two being Ski republic & Sport 2000, I think.
Les Coches is perfectly placed to jump across to les Arc on the Vanois express (one lift up and a short ski down taking 10 mins) & beat the crowds coming over from Le Plagne or turn right & explore Le Plagne & Champagny.
We thoroughly enjoyed the skiing, even though we went late in the season, definately with the great snow this year there should be good skiing on the way home, down through the trees.
Hope you have a great time.

Hi,

Les Coches is a lovely little resort - small enough to be friendly but still with a couple of bars, restaurants etc if you want a night out.

Chalet Ancolies is about a 7 minute walk above the resort on the right hand side. If you're looking at the piste map it is where the red Les Coches run and the blue Mont Blanc run cross and it's ski-in ski-out.

Never been inside the chalet but it looks nice from the outside - hope you have a great week.

Best wishes,
Heather
