Poster: A snowHead

Grrrrrr.... £35 each way, plus difference in price between orginal price paid and new price paid. I KNOW it's in the T&C's, and I KNOW I chose to book easyjet (and the consumer has a choice) ... but I still feel mugged.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Yup - only worth doing if you've already paid a significant chunk of change for the original ticket. Budget carriers have their uses, but flexibility is not on their radar

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

BA won't allow name changes at all

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Pedantica, but it's easy to buy a GVA return from BA for around £84 which can include skis if you max the hand luggage allowance. Persoanlly I'd rather bin the EJ tickets to save time and have done so before when they let me down.

Jivebaby, shhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone - I always fly Swiss for that very reason
However, I do believe they can be budget if you
a. don't want to pay (cos they charge for that);
b. don't want to take hold baggage (cos they charge for that);
c. don't want anything to eat or drink during the journey (cos they charge for that);
d. don't want to make sure you can sit with your friends / family (cos they charge for that - although some I understand see getting rid of the kids a positive selling point!)
e. don't want to or can't print out your boarding pass up to 14 days ahead (cos one of them charges for that)
..... what have I missed?

Aha, chose to Fly Easyjet... because... original ticket price, ok. They fly from Luton (15 mins from St Albans where I live, 30 mins from MK where some of the others on my trip live). Their flight times are good, and consistent with my needs for a short dash to the mountains. And don't normally need to change the name on the ticket.... There's nothing wrong with Easyjet, IMO. But I still feel mugged.

Last year i had booked all the flights and when i got the passport details found that a friend i had know for twenty five years used his middle name as his first name.
Explained to EJ who helpfully said the initial could be changed on the booking for roughly £100 (2 x admin and difference in flight price).
Just booked another seat for £80.
Obviously they need to make money but that is just daylight robbery for an honest mistake.
This was Liverpool Salzburg for info.
