Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Confidence building instructor - Val d'Isere

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Wow...I did a search and so many recommendations came up that I thought it would be easier to start a new post!

I have a friend heading out to Val d'Isere at the end of the month. Her last skiing experience was some years ago which ended in her crying her way down a red run with her ski's off! She's already stressing about going back but has been persuaded by hubby to give it one more chance as he and her boys are all keen skiers.

Can anyone recommend a gentle, confidence building instructor who will be able to help her overcome her fears and enjoy the skiing...she was having fun on blues until ending up on the red that she couldn't cope with.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

homphomp, from his utterly delightful posts (including the way he talks about his pupils) I should have thought that Steve Angus of this parish might be a good contender.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Jas Bruce at Ski New Generation, soothing scottish accent and fantastic instructor! Or if she would prefer a woman, Lara D'Agostini, really nice and a patient teacher.

+1 for Steve Angus of The Development Centre. Great teaching style will no doubt put nervous clients at ease.

Plus the added bonus (if you believe some of our fellow snowheads - you know who you are!) he is apparently quite good looking wink

Pedantica, Excellent suggestion. Another +1 from me, based on his posts alone.
