Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Grenoble Les Arcs Transfer 26/2 - ret 3/3

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Have booked flights for myself and teenage son but staggered with prospect of transfer costing more than flights. If anyone would be interested in a car share arrangement or shared bus or cab etc we would be keen to hear from you, even if one way only. We arrive at Grenoble on Easyjet from B'ham at 1420 on 26/2 and due to fly back from Grenoble 3/3 at 1615

yes, that's often the case - one of the reasons for the popularity of Tour Operators. It's a vehicle and a driver on a (very, very, busy) road for a long time - not helped by the fact that Grenoble airport is not very near to Grenoble. wink

Have you looked at Bensbus.co.uk? £75 each return to Bourg St Maurice is pretty good given the length of the journey and the likelihood of heavy traffic.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

like pam w says.. Very Happy You can get the funicular up from Bourg for about 7€ (also takes less than 10 mins!) and then use the resort buses from Arc 1600 to ferry you around to your resort..

pam w,

Thanks for your response. Yes I looked at that and compared it with the other option of hiring a car for the week, which at £160, is approx the same cost. Also, 2 x one way car hires are more then a car for a whole week. I thought if we got a medium sized car, we may be (for a contribution) able to offer someone a lift and maybe do it a bit more cheaply.

steven0123,

Thnaks also for tip about funicular, but I think this is included in the lift pass anyway. We are booked into a small hotel in BstM so we will make good use of that and look forward to it. Probably get a bit p***** off with carting skis etc by end of week but there you are!
