Poster: A snowHead
|
Hey again
I'm not really sure if I am posting in the correct place, but oh well.
It has been a good 7 years since i skied, weird saying that as i am only 18.
But i used to be a very good skier for my age and would be able to ski black runs with not to much issues.
Now I know that you will never forget how to ski, but your legs might not want to move in the correct way any more if that makes sense, is there anyone i can get the muscle working in the right way again before i go out skiing at the end of this year?
All help appreciated!

Is it hard to get back into skiing do you know? Will I pick it up again fairly fast?

Hello SpencerJT,
skiing is similar to riding a bike - you wont have forgotten how to do it, you will just be a little rusty!
We had a gap of 17 years in our skiing holidays (too skint whilst bringing up 2 kids)
When we did get back to skiing we didn't get chance to try our ski legs out in a fridge
we just went up a mountain (Les Arc) then went up a chairlift, then skied down blue run.
No problem really, just needed lessons to "modernise" our technique!
Cheers, Geoff
