Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

APRR Doofer changes, help pour vous

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all.

I managed to change my Doofer Tag to a new credit card from the one i origionally ordered it on.

For those who need to do this i did the following

1) Phone on 0033 825 39 67 60 ( 0.15 euro a minute )
2) when phone answers i said " Bonjeur, Je ne parlez Francis, Parlez Vous Anglais." I got a reply of "Un momment s'il vous plait."
3) Very nice lady came on phone and spoke English and i put new card details on account
4) She also e-mailed me confirmation in English, at my request. ( No card details on e-mail )

You need to make sure card details are up to date, because a friend of mine went in January and used his doofer, he then got a letter saying there was a problem with his card and could he pay the bill plus a 9 euro admin fee.

Hope this helps you Dooferists out there wink

I was charged in Jan for not having an up to date card, and had the same easy experience phoning up, despite speaking superb Franglais.Timbobaggins, on another subject, thanks for your Val Cenis tips; I am here right now having the best holiday ever. Nice towns, friendly people, cheap prices compared with mega domaines, and fantastic reds with some powder thrown in yesterday; often we have found ourselves totally alone on the slopes, and at one lift we once found 5 people in front of us !! Fantastic, but last day tomorrow.

Boredsurfing, forms are the simplest of things to complete in a foreign language. Simply replace foreign field title with English one. If you are travelling often enough to need the télépéage, you probably speak a little already, and all on here have the benefit of more proficient French speakers if they need it at less cost than the UK sanef company are charging.

Hells Bells, He is touting this English telepeage so much I am convinced he has shares in the place. As per first post changed credit card details via the telephone very easy. Last week as well I rang them as I had lost my on line log in password. Within about 2 minutes I had e-mail with details of how to change and update my password. You don't get service like that in the UK Toofy Grin . Now I can even update my credit card via the web. All very easy.

Err Sanef UK only charge per month up to a maximum of €10 - https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/support/faq

Which makes it cheaper than the €1.50 monthly according to my maths

If Boredsurfing, isn't mentioning it - I will, all in English, comes out of UK account with direct debit, all in English, get a break down of your costs online and tag was sent day aftger registering.

Is a fab service

So was aprr. I ordered it and paid 10 euro deposit, which came off my first bill, so to get it cost nothing. It arrived in 4 days from France. And as i do three trips over three months costs 4.50 euro on top of tolls.

According to my maths i would have to do 6+ trips a year to make Sanef cheaper than aprr.

thefatcontroller,

Oh no it isn't.

I tell you why its worth it.

When i get overtaken by BMW and Audi drivers, then zap by them at the 30kph toll lane, and it then takes them 20 miles to catch up.

Worth more than 1.50 euro a month in my book Laughing

These numbers don`t work anymore, and I can`t understand the recorded message ! I also cannot log in to my a/c for some reason. The web site contact says: tele 36 20 say "autoroute", which certainly doesn't work from the UK. Can anyone help before Wednesday, as I need to change my card details. Thanks

or better still stick it here and let us franglais it - quite possibly better than google translate. Or just send it in simple English - quite possibly more comprehensible than either!

I agree with Hells Bells about the number to ring.

APRR is much better than the Sanef option - for those saying otherwise, read the small print. You should be able to change your card from the web portal - I managed mine. Granted it's all in French, but they have a habit of that.

Why have one? Cost not withstanding, if you ever travel alone (even once) it's worth it - the pesky French have put all the toll machines on the wrong side....

Thanks everyone. The site is down now so no contact at all! When I joined aprr, I put the postcode in as 000 000, as it wouldn't recognize Uk postcodes back then; when you click the "forgotten password" tab it demands a post code, so that is no good. I think that my password didn't work because the site was down earlier. Does anyone see or have an email address ? Thanks Hells Bells, for listening to that.

If you ordered it on the website you should have had an email address from the office that processed the order - try sending an email to that. FWIW my UK postcode works now when I forget my password and have to type it in to reset it (frequently and often).

ETA when I asked by email for a contact number to change my credit card when you couldn't do it online, they sent me: 00 33 3 83 62 51 90

Hells Bells, Many thanks, that no. is correct; all sorted due to the genius of Snowheads. So that`s 00 33 380 77 01 01 if you are dialing from the UK. I owe you a drink,Hells Bells, , if I ever manage to catch up with you in SC.
