Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It's in Courmayeur. Just had a great day trip through the tunnel. It's nearer than Le Tour for me, and after a couple of inches last night on top of soft snow, there were lines to be had a plenty.
Will post a photo when I have extracted it from my iPhone of a superb run off the top of youla into the val veny fresh tracks all the way.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Agreed, we did a week in Courmayeur a couple of seasons back and and mates based in Chamonix came through to join us for one of the best days I've ever had. They were amazed by the difference in conditions

Often very different conditions on the French and Italian sides of Mont Blanc. We went to Courmayeur twice when I was in Chamonix last because the off-piste snow was better.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Superb indeed. Did it a few times a couple of years ago on a long weekend. Still not tracked out after 48 hours. Don't ya just love the Italians: They don't do off-piste.
I loved Cormayeur, great for a long weekend.
Italian priorities? 23 pistes and 24 mountain restaurants. And some of the best mountain food in the Aples. Next time try this route:

Ha! i've been there! I agree, it's ace. Lots of love for Courmayeur, especially the free apres ski buffet at Bar Roma!
