Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone in the know, know what is wrong or when it will be fixed?

I got back yesterday but was told it has been closed for 6 weeks.

It got stuck one Saturday before christmas (the end of the PSB week). It was fairly full of skiers at the time too (it was at around 3.30pm IIRC) and they all had to be lowered down one by one. It took them until around 9.30pm to evacuate the lift and get everyone to the warmth of the restaurant at the top of the funicular.

Not my idea of fun! I don't think it has been working since then.

More like 2 months now. The cable car is fixed but is awaiting authorization to resume service. Probably won't be long now.

The same happended when I waas there - think it was wed 11th Jan. We were about to head up to glacier, decided to do a warm up run before we went and when we got out of the fecicualr saw it was stuck full of people- glad we did that extra run! Passed it again some time later and they were lowering people out- must have taken hours! It was shut for the rest of week
