Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val T - accomodation help - 3rd week march

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello

I know I know, everyone always asks these questions!

Off to Val T for the third week in March and have some varying requirements for our group so not sure how best to approach accommodation.

Background
Group will either be 4 (one couple and two friends), or 6 of us (three couples) depending on the boys sorting out time off work, or potentially 5 of us (which obviously gets us into single occupancy issues).

Two of the group are already going to be out in France anyway so don’t want transfers or flights.

One (or two if her boyfriend comes) need to fly home on the Friday night for a wedding on Sunday.

I’d quite like to just book with a TO as I like the assurance of them having to sort you out if there are travel issues, and I generally find them to have better deals. But it doesn’t look like that will suit our requirements.

Question 1
Does anyone know if TOs offer any real discount for organising your own flights/transfers?

Question 2
Can anyone recommend some independent / small company chalets that offer the following:
Sauna and/or hot tub
Some double beds not just twins pushed together
Decent location and decent food

I’ve been having a look and have struggled to find independents n Val T

Question 3
How should we play things with regards to a late deal? I just don’t have any concept of how busy Val T will be the third week in March and the likely hood of finding somewhere which suits our requirements and getting it at a discount. I’m more inclined to book things now but then if we end up with 5 might it be better to wait and see if anyone will waive the single supplement? Any thoughts / experiences?

Thanks a lot for any help Very Happy

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It'll be a popular week, the first "post holiday" week, and the snow should be good. So if you find something that seems just right, given your non-standard requirements, I'd be inclined to go for it, and not hold out for a "deal".

Another thought - if you don't have any accommodation yet, you could cast the net a bit wider than Val T?
