Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Espace Killer Loop

Having seen details of the 3 Vallees Escapade, a couple of weeks ago Mrs MA and I made up an equivalent 'Ski the whole of Espace Killy in a day' jaunt - aka 'The Espace Killer Loop.'

We started at Tignes Val Claret and the day went like this:

Tichot Chair at 09.00 then worked our way up, across and down to Les Brevieres via the Aiguille Percee.
Gondola out of Les Brevieres.
Up Aiguille Rouge chair from top of the gondola and skied down to Le Lac.
Aeroski then down to La Daille.
Funival then down to bottom of Santons draglifts.
Up Santons drag.
Up Grand Pre Chair.
Down past bottom of Fontaine Froide Chair and down Santons run to Val D'Isere.
Solaise Chair.
Piste L gully run closed due to avalanche risk so took the more circuitous Germain Mattis run to Le Laisinant chair.
Down Table D'Orientation run then Foret piste to bottom of Le Fornet cable car.
Up cable car.
All glacier lifts closed - so quick run off Pyramides Express chair.
Up gondola towards Pissailas Glacier.
Next, took the up and over Leissieres Express and back to the top of Solaise.
Down Solaise to Olympique gondola.
From there to Tommeuses chair.
Down to Val Claret and Lanches and Vanoise chairs up Grande Motte glacier.
Cable car to top shut - so Leisse run instead.
Back down to Val Claret via Double M.
Time in hand so up Tichot and Grattalu chairs.
Just enough time to catch Grand Huit chair, which closed at 16.45, so did that and finished by skiing down to Le Lac.

Next time we would ski it differently - eg miss out the black and bumpy Foret run at Le Fornet as the alternative blue run would be faster and easier. We also want to do it when both glacier areas have the top lifts open.
And for completeness, we should really include Les Boisses....

Anyway, as it was, it filled the day nicely and we skied 37,000 feet vertical.

Nice - my boyfriend loves skiing the far corners of resorts so will keep this in mind.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

mountainaddict, that's great. I'm going to copy and paste this into my Val D'Isere Yipeeee thread for my own future reference if that is ok.

Yes, that would be ok. As long as you only refer to the route and don't reproduce it by skiing it. mountainaddict, has a copyright on it! Toofy Grin
