Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Used one of the 35chf passes for a few turns in Verbier today. The grapevine was reporting recent snow and the possibility of some sunshine in the pm. Joined the swarm of multi coloured fat boys at Funispace. The lift opening was greeted with a cheer and a stampede. Raced the pack along the Lac de Vaux ridge and dropped down into Creblet couloir. Not much viz and quite windblown in places - not the most encouraging start. Changed plan to trees which meant Vallon D.

Sweet - the jacket that is....

Flat light in the main bowl and also wind affected but the best here comes to those who wait. Jens launches into the secret couloir

Deep and creamy in here

The Croix de Coeur traverse is always good for low angle speeding....

Round 2 and someone had done the traverse so to the steep forest...

Always good here

Cold smoke

On the way back round the sun came out and we got some freeheel technique

Went and did a Col de la Mouche but it was already tracked meaning a lot of traversing for the remaining freshies. Called for a Vallon D round 3 Chassoure side. Hunting new lines

The skis weren't happy...

More lush pow

Backseat big air

Back in control

The phone started buzzing with news that Gentianes was opening so we went up for a look. Some energetic lads putting in the Stairway bootpack - they're probably still there!

Alas Highway was underwhelmingly windblown but the Goblin still displayed impeccable technique

A few scenery shots on the way back. Lac De Vaux with the Rock garden bootpack and the Vallon D traverse in the background

Mont Gele is plastered

And for the piste lovers... M25 in good nick

Sunshine and powder. Gotta love Verbier Happy
