Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

My friend and I have been skiing in St. Anton for the last week and are looking to travel either somewhere else in Austria, or in Switzerland for the next two weeks. We were thinking about heading to Zermatt because of the recent snowfall they have received but are open to going elsewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for ski areas that may be less well-known and would still provide great skiing for a better price? We are expert skiers who spend about 75% of our time off piste. We have all the necessary safety equipment and knowledge. We also will be looking for a place to stay wherever we visit, so hostels nearby or at least connected by bus would be helpful!
Thanks for any suggestions!

, welcome to Snowheads.
I'm not an off piste skier myself, except in the most minor way, but if France isn't off-limits, Chamonix might be worth looking at - there are several hostels and living can be pretty cheap if you want. Big snow falling right now.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, Laax/Flims (www.laax.com) in Switzerland and has some good off piste to offer, as well as avalanche controlled but un-groomed 'freeride' areas. Don't think I would spend two weeks there, but it's pretty much on the route from St. Anton to Zermatt so you could do a few days there to break up the journey (I normally drive the alps, but I think the trains go via Chur, and there's a short bus connection from there). Lots of accommodation options, including Riders palace (http://www.riderspalace.ch/) which offers some cheap dorm options as well as private rooms.
