I am looking to get the wife and I some new gloves. Probably stating the obvious but can you recommend some good gloves that do not cost a fortune? Thinking in the £20 to £30 bracket. Are there any bargain websites out there?

I have a pair of the gloves above size 10, brand new. I bought a size 8 and 10. The 10 are way too big for me. £15 and I pay postage. PM if interested.
The size 8 I am using are very warm.

harrim51, How big are they? I am normally a large in glove size but I do not have shovel hands.

I have some surfanic ones which I'm very pleased with (purchased 2 yrs ago). They have a little wiper on the thumb to brush snow off your goggles.

When flat on table they are 13cm from side to side
On the site it rates them as large.

Hi The sizes are euro sizes, however with these gloves they are work style, which means the 10's are more of a large to extra large in UK terms.
The 8's are a medium to large, plus being 100% leather they will stretch and form to your hand shape after about half a days use. Also if you treat them with a glove proof or conditioner and leave them standing on the fingers to dry they will re shape to a grip style and get softer
Hope this helps, they do not do a size smaller than 8 however I usuall have a few 8's on one side which are smaller than they should be.

Brill thanks that makes total sense I thought I would fit the 10 and SHMBO would fit the 8... She was most put out when they were to big!!!
