Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hello, i bought myself my first snowboard + bindings and would like to test them out before i go to france in feb. The closest indoor slope to me is MK and i've been before and thought it was pretty good for a practise. What day and times would you say are the quietist? I have work during the week and finish at 3-ish. I'm also not interested in the rails and jumps, i'd just want to go up and down. Thank you for any feedback.

I'd go when you finish in the afternoon - I've been mid-afternoon before and it's been quiet, can't remember the day but it was in the week. Weekends are obviously fuller, especially this time of year when people are learning or getting ready for their holidays. Think weekends they also have the kids club, where some of the main slope is fenced off for kiddies to do tobogganing. They have a training slope that's in operation most of the time but that's purely for the instructor classes so I believe.
I used to go on tuesday nights now and then with a mate and it was quiet, a few jumps and what not but just random skiers and boarders.
They have freestyle nights (think they are thurs/fri/sat) which can get busy, especially when they have the jumps and rails set up.
BTW, welcome to
s and good luck with the boarding - I took it up back in 2006 and can't get it out of my head
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
